linux on ipod update?

Awhile ago I think I heard somewhere on these forums about..

linux on ipod

It hasn't been updated since March 24. Does anybody have any new info? I would really LOVE for .ogg to just come to the ipod. Especially with that tempting Pearl around the corner. So any further news? I subscribed to the update thing but nothing's come in yet. I've read the forums but I'm not sure what's going on. Anybody?

Why linux? There would be ogg support. Everything on my computer is in .ogg. Mostly because it can be gapless. unlike AAC and MP3.

Besides, linux will probably be updated more than ipod now. It's possible the ipod could be more useful. Of course I'm just hoping. But it's possible.
