Why my Custom-3 sounds better on MP3 or other digital format rather than CD?

Custom-3 is really great earphone on MP3 player,sounds well balanced and great in detail. But what i found is Custom-3 sounds more bass that affect the mid, high and detail when i use in on CD player. i was tried 3 CD different CD player still comes out the same result. Other earphone normally sounds better on CD player rather than MP3 player but why not custom-3,izzit custom-3 is special build for digital audio?. i still love my custom-3 because it reli great on mp3 player....

my mp3 player is creative zen vision M,mostly listen to WAV or 320 kbps MP3

Can you compare the Custom-3 to the Images???

Image hs warmer sound and more bass than C3, C3 hs better,natural mid and high. C3 is truely well balanced on ZVM.

I find Custom 3 shows better details and has better mids over image with airy warm soundfield(also bass is really good).
