Hi, I'm looking for a pair of phones to pair with my Meizu M6 SL. As I was considering the Grado SR60 I originally posted on the Covering Headphones list but someone suggested I also try iems (I am using - AKG K312Ps - which IMHO lean more towards providing support for rock than house tunes. The latter distort heavily when it comes to bass on tunes dating from around 1995).

Some posters have written to say that the M6 tends to be bassy anyway (even though I've dialed the settings to zero it doesn't help much.)

So, if you have any suggestions - I've read the Yuin pk2 is a good choice - I'm open to what you have to say.

If it's any help I listen to a wide range of music: Rush - Clint Mansell - Mahler.

thanks

Russ

I use the Yuin PK1s with my SL2, but my wife's PK2s sound pretty darned good, too. I use my SE500s for mowing the grass and they work nicely as well. The PK1s take more volume to drive them and if you forget to lower the volume when you switch you can blow your ears off so be careful.

If the SL has the same great EQ capabilities as the SL2, you should be able to use anything you like with it. Any of my phones sound great with it after a tweak or two.
