note this is my first cable upgrade, but got rather excited about it this evening
so i upgraded two weeks ago to these (from bog-standard cambridge audio pacifics) between my arcam cd72 and x-canv2 (w/ HD580s) and haven't had a chance to give them anything apart from a brief listen, but finally got around to it this evening.. and whoa the difference is astounding, no more overly-sharp highs (miles davis trumpet is no longer harsh on high notes), instead slightly softer to the ears... cymbals seem to last forever, bass definitely goes deeper, with more depth to everything yet smoother at the same time as nothing seems to overly stand out (highs were well over-emphasised on the pacifics).
Also I had originally thought the X-Can was poor on overly loaded rock (early flaming lips, clinic, my bloody valentine) but the VDH cable just seemed to clean everything up and transform one big mess of noise into the various instruments.. I won't say its now perfect (what is?), but it definitely helped the X-Can a great deal with that sort of music.
Anyway well reccomended for those moving from bottom-range ICs, and is probably the best EUR60 i could have spent on upgrades.. and i believe they're at EUR45 elsewhere (which really is a bargain)..
