i know the Zune has no Line Out - but can i pair a small amp with it?

i want to tighten up the bass coming out of my zune headphone jack with an amp to my triple.fi's - must be very portable and not much over 100 bucks.

any ideas if this would work?

If I am not mistaken the zune comes with a dock connecter but I don't have one so I cannot testify but the mini^3, ibasso d2, and the corda 2 move all are fairly small and do an excellent job for under 300 bucks

ibasso t2 is super small and just a little over 100 bucks, not on the ibasso website at the moment, but im sure it can be found in the for sale forum

I'm using a Fiio Amp with an iPod (headphone out) or USB Sound Card (headphone out) and either PK1 or SE530 for a reallly fine sound. The Fiio Amp has replaced the iBasso P2 in my work rig. They can be won on eBay for the minimum bid of 0.01 GBP (plus $12 shipping and $4 insurance (optional)), or they can be purchased as "Buy It Now" for about $25-$30 (including shipping). It's hard for me to believe that such transparency and depth of sound, openness, soundstage and lushness can come from something so tiny (a little bigger than two AAA batteries) and inexpensive - but it does. And it runs for 20 hours on a single alkaline AAA, or 10-12 hours on a rechargeable Eneloop AAA. Out of the box it sounds OK to pretty good. After about 75-100 hours of use, it really blossoms into a very fine sounding amp.

Funny huh?

I've already bought and received one, and have just won a second. There is no contact from the seller, just the amp arrives in about a week. You posted on 6/21 on the Fiio thread that you'd just won the Fiio. What is your seller's eBay name, what is their selling history/rating?

Yeah, I won on 6/21. Seller is marchrisdealer. Winning bid, GBP 0.01. 7,517 feedbacks.
I just PM-ed him 5 or 6 times on eBay and twice via email, no response at all.

So they're pretty much making their money off the shipping? Isn't that forbidden on ebay? I got mine mailed from Hong Kong for 5 bucks. Think of it, really it's just a scam. If the product is defective, they reimburse you the 1 penny and keep the left overs from what you payed them for the shipping. Would never buy from such a dealer. Oh and 4 bucks insurance for something bought for a penny?

They do that thing with the shipping because eBay doesn't take a cut out of shipping costs.
