hi,
i just bough today an Audiotrak Prodigy HD2. after many difficulties i succesfuly installed it.
the problem now is that there are a lot of hisses, distortions and additional noises. and i noticed this happens everytime my cpu or hdd works. the more applications i launch the worse gets the sound...i think it has something to do with audio acceleration or full load. i remember the old cards had this problem too
so..if anyone can help me..i'd appreciate.

there are a few things u can try:

1) Set the latency (sample number) under config to max (1024).
1) if you're overclockin ur CPU/graphics card... try lowering the settings... this fixed everything for me. Afterwards i could go back to my original overclock w/o the clicks/additional sounds reappearing...
2) install the soundcard as far away from display card as possible. Alternatively, try a different PCI slot if u have more than 1
