I mean, most on head-fi would be very happy with one high end source.

Just wondering.....

Didn't you know that women find guys with multiple high end sources very attractive?

Seriously, my guess is that many have multiple rigs, and that's why they need them.

Are you talking about sources for the same format? I'm not sure why someone would do that, but different formats would make sense. I keep toying with the idea of getting one of the high-end reel-to-reel players. Might do it, but but I'd have to build another library of music. Still, reel sounds great.

Well since 3 people have asked for a vinyl thread now, I guess I might as well do it.

Well I've been experimenting to find my sound (also out of curiosity), can't speak for others.

If I lower the price minimum to $2K, I could you put on the list now - eh why not, ok the price minimum is now at $2K! There's a lot of good high-quality stuff (and Head-Fiers I'm missing) at the $2-3.5K price point!

Like derekbmn says in the analogue thread this doesn't take into account vintage equipment. The Marantz two box CD94 or CD12 will take on any of the machines in this list so far even though they are upto 20 years old. I've heard these up against a Linn Ikemi ( itself now discontinued) and there wasn't much in it.

Wich headamp do you actually prefer?

I see some custom amps, the official sennheiser amp...What do you have underneath the shanling cdplayers?

Under the T200 on the right we have the Angstrom which was a custom tube amp commissioned by Nik for his R10's.

Under the T300 which is in the center we have what may be the power supply for the above unit? Or perhaps another little headphone amp? Underneath that though is the EAR-Yoshino V20, the amp some say is the greatest amp for the AKG K1000's.

Under the T100 on the left it is well, of course, the HE90V...the amp portion of the Orpheus!

The picture show another Head-Fi'ers rig (old picture from at least 2-3 years back). The President, treasurer, secretary and sole member of the Cayman Islands Head-Fi Club if I remember correctly...

So have no details about the gear besides what I see in the picture.
