Hello all,
So lately I've been seeing people complaining about certain amp designs being the only topic of discussion around here.

I'd like to say I searched high and low to help offset this problem, but I'm an honest one.

On a Pinnacle Systems miro dc30 + board I have located three AD8072 chips which AD's website has so graciously provided technical information for.

My question relates to my lack of knowledge at least specifically to the phrase Quote:

current feedback amplifiers

I am wondering if any of you technical type folks see any reason these couldn't be used at least for testing out design and what not.

I guess that's a resounding no then. Oh well. Maybe down the road somewhere I'll find good use for those. Pretty much same idea as the opamps from the looks of it, just for video rather than audio. First thing that comes to mind is a video selector switch box able to run to any room in your house perhaps. Cool stuff.

Hold on a minute, there. Video amplifier is the old code phrase for "high slew rate amplifier." They are quite acceptable, often admirable, for use in audio amplification. I gave that data sheet a once-over and that amp has got some excellent specs in some of the most important places: very low voltage noise, extremely low current noise, ultra high slew rate, low voltage operation, decent output current. Not that this amplifier is perfect, by any means, but it is certainly worth looking into, especially as it is touted as "inexpensive".

Woah, I never would have thought. That is very cool to know. I guess when you think about it, the thing is amplifying a signal. Why not audio if video?..
Thanks for the info. Perhaps I'll put those chips to good use after all. I do have 3 of them. And, they are very cheap at being totally free to me.
