Well, I broke em, so I need something new if I can't get them fixed. Any suggestions?

I need isolation, and sound quality should be equavilant. Bass isn't important but isolation is paramount to me. Portability is needed too, this will be driven to by an N707 most of the time.

Options I'm looking at is the HD280. and possibly beyer DT770 pro though that doesn't seem portable and are hard to drive.

I don't see anything else really that is portable and provides comparable isolation and sound, the HD280 seem a little expensive, is the quality that much better?

Beyer DT250 would be your other option or the Sony EX71 SL

Hmm, most people seem to agree that the EX71 has pretty poor sound quality?

The 250 is an interesting option, but I just looked up the isolation level for both the 250 and the 770 and they are both lower than the ER-6s, which I thought was good but not great. Probably going to be the 280s for me then.

Not so much that I don't like the ER-6 ,just that I might as well try something new. Also, I was really comfortable wearing them but I don't know if I could do it for more than an two hours at a time.

There also seems to be a gross discrepence in list price for Senns and the actual price. So HD280s are only around $80 new.

Anyone know how the sound quality compares to ER-6? I listen to mostly light orchestral, jazz, some techno.
