I have tried the horribly built Fiio RC-UE2 cable. It fell apart after a couple of weeks and I now have to send it overseas for replacement. Also microphonics ARGH!!!!!!!!!!

Are there any other good cables out there, preferably under 50$. Can extend if something's a tier better?

Any BF deals for cables?

I am currently using the UE2 after my $90 cable also broke. Lasted 4 months, sent it back, had it fixed then broke in the same place a month later. I have been through many cables, so far the UE2 is working fine for me, knock on wood.

I should only one, who is happy with stock cable, even after three years of use

what actually came apart? And how long have you been using the fiio's cable?

The stock cable lasted for a reasonable time and then bought my UE2 cable,lately.....yeah the horrible microphonics but put on the included that does its job until the Y splitter.....

A better cable? I wld say dont waste money on costlier ones but $15-$25 cables would suffice,imo.....the next cable of mine wld fall in the same price bracket after my UE2 die on me.......try the sunricky ones...

I got a good tip tho, from one of our friend here @olddude sayin not to coil with our fingers but to hang down instead, that will eventually not harm the weaky points....thus live longer.....Id rather wanted to test it out on my way like no coiling nor hang down but just a gentle 3 folds to accomodate in a long platic box and see how this one goes.....its not that I dont like his hint but Im afraid I cld damage the earpieces themselves hanging them down....

So the seller agreed to replace the fiio cable?if posible get the UE1 being the same price....

I've had my Fiio RC-UE2 cable for a year and half with no problems. I use for listening indoors and outdoors as well as IEM when playing gigs. I've found it to be a great cable for the money.

The part of the cable where it enters the 3.5mm plug has become loose and as a result while walking the sound intermittently cuts from either of the channels, sometimes both. This also happened with the stock cable but after 4 years of use. This started happening with the UE2 with after a couple of weeks at max.

Yes, thankfully the seller has agreed to replace them.

I keep the cable in the TF10 box since I almost always use it whilst I'm travelling so I don't think I have any other options than coiling it with my fingers as the TF10 manual dictated.

Could you point me towards the sunricky ones. I cannot find any other cables that are within 25usd. Is the UE1 better than the UE2? I also miss the memory portion of the original cable, any el cheapo cables that have that?

If you look @ the pricier DL cable the cable quality are'nt that difference,so my next or sooner buy cable as a spare to my rc-ue2 wld be this.....that bad arse BQ of sunricky might offer min 2years life span (ofcourse properly used),imo.....

I prefer straight than bend, ear piece end, that actually is best when wearing straight down and ear-guides can be used to use them native style, over the ears......

It's there, but I don't know why that happened?

I don't wear the TF10's straight down, and I actually like the memory type thingy. I've read some bad posts about sunricky but there are bad posts about everything. I'll get back after I see some of his cables. It's an ebay store right?

yeah but the stock cable has a stiffness than the rc-ue2.......why/how? Coz the stocks have a small metal (single strand) wire inside the sheath whereas the rc-ue2 have a transparent tube outside the spc teflon, just like westones anda hi-end iem RCs....and most of the time it pops out from the ears coz of its springy nature,so I might cut the tube off and use vsonic/v-moda's ear-guids/earhooks .....
About sunricky's cable quality, let other owners (who have bought any SR cable for like shure,tf10,wetone) can chime in........

I bought a Ted's cable for mine (sold cable with my TF10) for about $100 USD.  Excellent sound quality, some microphonics using an unsheathed cable (twisted wire only).  I would have gone for covered wire had I known that.  Memory wire on the stocks not present on the Ted's.  However, quality wire, just very pricey.

Question for the people in the known, would this cable work with the TF10?

For that price, why not go up $20 and get a custom Ted's cable?

or silvers for a lot more

Get one with a coating/sheath on the wires, as I found that the twisted wire ones have some microphonics if you walk with them

It will work, but why not get it straight from the horse's mouth: http://effectaudio.com/product/crystal/ and get it for TF10 with your choice of plug and cable for a lesser price.
