I have the DT770 Anniversary Edition 32 ohm. They don't make it any more, but supposedly the new regular 32 ohm model uses the same drivers. The 600 ohm is supposedly the best, but which model you choose should be based upon what kind of source and amplification you plan on using.

They aren't exactly what I would call portable, though, unless you don't mind the size and lack of folding; for portable, I'd go with the Amperior, personally.

Hmmm...with the help of the E12 you could go for the HD25-1-ii if you want more neutrality/less warmth over the Amperior. They sound really nice with the extra juice from my E11, so I'm sure the E12 would more than do them justice. On that note I'd say you could run the 80 ohm DT770s too if you want more bass, or maybe even the 250s for some extra refinement, since you'll be using the E12.

TF10 in stock form is said to have "recessed" mids.

Now what's the best aftermarket cable out there that also makes TF10 mids sound "present" and not "recessed"?

I doubt you will find that any cables will change the sound enough to remove the TF10's mids recess..  I usually just EQ the mids in the Neutron player when I feel the need.

Ari33 is right. I've tried at least 4 different cables with my TF10, none of them enhancing the mid range. They are U shaped and will always be U shaped unless you use an EQ. Get an music player with a decent EQ and problem solved. JetEffect 5 does the job pretty well.

I recently bought this cable just to see what it was like and it seems to be extremely good value so far. Anyone else get one?

Pros-
Sounds fine, certainly sounds no different from Dark Lord cable to me..
Very, very cheap at only £11.88 posted from HK
Low microphonics
Jack looks like it has much better strain relief than the Dark Lord cable which I've found very problematic in this area.
Slightly longer, also softer and less prone to tangling than DL cable.

Cons-
Does not have any memory wire round the ears.

I've only had it for a couple of weeks so its early days yet but I'll give you an update on how well its lasting over the coming months...  after I've bought a few as spares...
