Whats that. And its not like a bad off, just barely to the left, and its not that one driver is bad, since when i did the flip mod, its the same problem.

well what I said was like,if you bought it new get the replacement pair or use the return policy for not being completely satisfied with the product OR just chk with the seller if he/she had the same issue, get the reply honestly......I believe you bought them use as it came with fiio cable.....

And still if you feel theres no change in doing flip mod like what I said, then its your ears....but again, you said ue400 and others sounded good with same songs/source combo....:confused_face_2: thats really....which means your ear respond good...

Finally to clear the smoke on cabe, just unplug the cable and flip them......just align polarity correctly and see whats happening (if its ur first time dont worry, just be gentle its easy and revert to original when done....BUT, be careful when you plug the pins)...hope the audio doesnt cuts out in anyway nor you hear static when you wiggle the 3.5mm jack/shake the cable? Just wanna make sure the cable is perfect....

With some earphones/tips, there is a big change when changing the position of the earphone inside the
ears. Sometimes this is due to earwax, sometimes the ear shape, sometimes little hair pieces that
grow inside the ear. I find that there are earphones that are more sensitive to such changes than others.
My TF 10 are actually one of the least. I think situation is better with the tips that have larger holes. For example,
the Shure tips are quite sensitive to change, as it has very small holes, while TF 10 are more robust.

I when back to the reg fit, left is left and right is right. But I turned the left cable like flipped the polarity, and now it is center and not so in my face. But then cable is not installed correctly. But the stage is perfect.

may be this time the cable is installed correctly then, by you now but was wrong way when you bought them...check again for the marking/protrusion of the cable connector to align with the earpiece marking with current insertion....

If you go on eBay and search for 'TF10 cable' you'll get several hits, some for under $20 - $15, lunashops is one seller. I think it might be worth trying another cable if you feel so too of course.

I switched the earpieces to where the left side cable is with the right earpiece and its the same, so it must be something with the cable. The problem with the connection is the side that goes on the ear piece is kinda of like a right angle, not a straight up and down. So, when I switched the polarity on the left side, the loop is now under the ear not over because of the right angle. What is the best cable for the Triple Fi 10s, that make gets the most out of them. I dont mind spending a 100 plus on them, if its well worth it.

Also, Shawn might be onto something. Along with Gilly's post above check the polarity is correct for both earpieces. His link was broken so here's the thread.

It may be case one side is out of phase all along.

I would get the issue sorted first, even you try a cheap cable. Then If it works we can give recommendation. But check my post above. =)

Hi guys,

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but I have a problem with all the replacement cables I have for my triple fi 10s. I've had the triple fis for about 2 years and have had to replace the cables 3 times already. The sound keeps on cutting out of one side or both.  The first cable was the Logitech replacement one ($20) and the sound cut out after about 4 months, the second was an OEM cable sold by some japanese company ($40) and the sound cut out of that one after 3 months? the last one was recommended by another thread here (Dark Lord Teflon Silver Plated wire) and it's been less than a month and the sound cut out again!

I don't think I abuse the cables. I use them regularly during my commute and when I'm not using them I roll them up into an Altoid tin. Am I doing something wrong here? I've never had this problem with other headphones before! Please help!
