Koss 617A coupon has expired

I received no answer to my question about why the 617A coupon is still recognized by the Koss.com order system, but an email I received from Valerie Cosales at Koss.com customer service stated in no uncertain terms that Koss management has decided the 617A coupon is over, without exception. A lot of people had been wondering about this, and I know some of you have recently managed to order/receive your Portapros anyway.

Some people have received e-mails regarding their order being cancelled because the 617A coupon had expired... I believe the message was posted in the other Porta Pro thread.

It seemed deserving of a new thread, since there has been considerable confusion as to the official status of the coupon.

Koss is sending me a $10 coupon "for the inconvenience."

I'm probably going to get Sportapros. Cheaper and basically the same headphone, possibly minus a little of the famous PP bass.

Original post was intended as a public service announcement, but thanks for trying to help me spend money, all.
