I only speak English fluently.

I know bits and pieces of Japanese, mostly thanks to anime. (lol)

Although I took years of Spanish classes, I barely remember any of it since it was a requirement for school rather than something I sought out.

Besides English, I speak, read, and write Cantonese (the right version) and I can understand a bit of Mandarin. I can also read a good bit of that awful invention called "Simplified Chinese" used in the mainland.
Savage. We call it "殘體字" for a reason.

Anyway, I can speak Cantonese and English, only understand Mandarin and Japanese (ironically I understand more Japanese than Mandarin).

I'm French Canadian (Franco Ontarian, born & raised in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada & speak English fluently as well as writing and understanding. I passed federal government tests in all three required parts for English as a second language & was exempt from mandatory four year retesting. I worked for the Canadian Federal Government - Library and Archives Canada. My wife is an English Canadian and our adult kids are fluently bilingual in English & French.

My wife & I both retired in 2012 & moved to Nova Scotia in early 2013 to be near the ocean and away from big city living. Being fluently bilingual makes it possible for me to enjoy living anywhere in Canada.
