I think you're asking if the cups will get more comfortable. I doubt they'll stretch or anything, but there is a suprising amount of room in there! If you've got big ears, try loosing the headband as far as it will go, then sit the cups over your ears and pull down slightly to push the pads under your top lobe (this method is described on the package, albeit in Japanese). That will give the bottom part of your ear ALOT more room. If you need more room, make sure the headphones are sitting far enough forawrd on your head; a little change can add a lot of usable room to the cups. Once you find a comfortable spot, then adjust the headband.

I hope this helps!

yah, top back part of the ear was what I meant when I said "top lobe". Sorry! I don't know what the heck that part is called!

I'm still amazed these little cups can go around my entire ear without any discomfort. My first reaction when seeing them was "No way are these circumaural!"

Is there any difference between the earpads for the D-66 and the D-77?

I think the material is different. The D66s have cloth, and the D77s have pleather.

I think the cloth would be more comfortable.

mclaren- oh.. I see, you meant to say; "question about the D66s eggo shaped cups?"
