I'm quite happy with my current setup but I've always had the urge to get into the world of tubes. Do you guys think the Ear+ would be a good introduction to tubes or should I just hold off until I can get a zotl or rkv?

I've only heard the EAR+ once, but I was very impressed with it. IMO it's a great way to get started with tube gear.

That's a very nice starting amp.....
Can be customized also, and can also be a DIY.
Check out the archives on other tubes like the ASL MG Head, and a couple others within the same price range.....

According to your profile the ear+ would be a nice choice to get into tubes.
It handles low impedence cans well.

The MG head would work well with the 580 but not the CD3000 or sr60.

Actually I forgot that I hadn't updated my profile in a while the only headphones I currently have are the CD3000 and DT880. From what I've read the Ear+ should be a nice match with the CD3000. I haven't heard much on the Ear+ and high impedance phones though so that has me a little bit concerned.

I wouldn't worry too much.
If it does low impedance well then higher impedance should be fine.
(at least its a much easier load for the amp.)
