I know a pair of identical twins (and I mean IDENTICAL twins, the kind where their mother has to look twice), and one of them (Graham) wants to get custom IEMs, but doesnt wanna shell out the big bucks. His brother Malcolm has said he will throw in for the IEMs if it turns out they will fit his ears (yes, I have addressed the hygienic issues with them). Graham has asked me to ask if anyone knows if the shape of someones ear canals are as unique as a fingerprint, or if in fact there is a chance they will fit his identical twin. Weird question I know, but if anyone has any input he would appreciate it.

My audiologist said they are all different. But who knows if they can squeeze them in.

i'm pretty sure that they're different. variation, after all, is what biology is all about.

but just how different, i don't know. the differences may be minimal enough that it might be doable for the second twin...but they're just going to have to try it and see. keep us posted

Is it a "regular" twin or was he cloned? Could make a big difference
