I have my GT250-80's at work and my source in an overhead on my right. The cord from the phones attaches on the left, is there any compelling reason not to reverse the phones on my head (left on right ear . . ). This way the cord doesn't get in my way when I type. See, I told you it was a stupid question.

I have this problem too with my 880s when my source on my right (now i got it on my left). What I did was just use the a extension cord so that it it goes out from the source on the right, goes below to your feet and comes back up on your left. Worked pretty well just pretty messy.

Most headphones (I don't know about these) are designed to be used with the orientation left cup to left ear, right cup to right ear. The design of such phones includes the angles of the cups being placed at a suitable angle to the outer ear. Placing them on backwards defeats this. The channels are also reversed. So, I would not do it. Get an extension cord.

If they fit ok just switch them and the RCA jacks to your amp.
(if you have one)

Assuming you can get a proper fit, the only problem would be the reversed soundfield. IOW, the violins would be on the right instead of the left. You can cure this by reversing the outputs anywhere in the chain.

But what about the fit? Are these plain old-radio types? Or are they angled?

Drivers are flat, and everything looks symmetric in there to me. Swapping them around should pose no problem. Only issue is that earpads tend to take a set to your head over time, so you will have to get used to the cord always being on the right.

I will take a look tonight and see if there are any other things to consider.
