Hi folks-

I currently have the following setup for headphone listening.....

Philips 963SA DVD player>Kimber Kable PBJ>Kenwood 6070 A/V Receiver>Tape Out via Kimber Kable PBJ>Corda HA-2 phone amp>Senn 600s.

I recently added the Pioneer wireless Dolby Headphones and processor to my rig. I have the processor unit connected via my receiver's digitial optical out and its perfect for digital tracks from my Laserdisc and DVD player. For VHS, Cable and FM material I hooked the analog inputs on the Pioneer processor to the R & L Pre-outs on my reciever and it stinks. Volume is way low. Zero sound quality. I imagine I would need to add an amplifier between the Reciever's pre-outs and the input on the Pioneer Dolby processor for this method to work.

I tried unplugging the Kimbers from my Corda HA-2 amp and connecting the Tape out from my reciever to the Pioneer Dolby processor and it it works beautifully on the analog signals. However, I would need to keep unplugging and replugging if I wanted to switch from using the Corda and the Pioneer.

So, my question is...can I use gold Y splitters to split the signal from my Receiver's Tape Out and will I lose signal strength?

Thanks for any input.

As long as you use high quality splitters (The vampire models appear to be well-made), i wouldn't imagine that the lost of quality would be significant, much less, noticable.
