Has anyone here tried it?
I was bored today and decided to rip up the pleather on my old A900 pads, exposing the soft material underneath, which was interesting as on one pad it came off fine, and on the other the plastic was well and truely glued and i couldn't get it off! AT must have changed supplier for the pleather and i got a mix of one old pad and one new pad. I ended up ripping the material underneath when attempting to rip off the plastic, oh well.
Putting the material pad on my A900.... omg where did the bass go? Which got me thinking, maybe this is the main culprit for the AD 'phones being leaner on bass rather then because they are open. The A1000 pads look like they would fit on an AD - the lip on the earpad would just have to be trimmed a little due to the flat baffle, where the A1000 has an angled baffle and extruded lip around the back of the phones.
Can anyone confirm that the ADxxx (AD900 in particular) are the same diameter as the Axxx?
