they've been this cheap for a little while now. I noticed it a couple of weeks ago. At around that price, there's also the OVC TC20 from head-direct, which are supposed to be quite good as well. Somebody needs to do a shootout of all the sub-$60 canalphones ASAP!
These have from time to time been heavily discounted. For example, it was easy to pick up one from Staples I believe a while ago for $30 plus tax.
