Works for me.

For me too. I currently use 4G iMod - Supermicro IV - ER4S and listen to classical exclusively. The combo is hard to beat IMO. I also have tried a Rudistor NKK-01, Porta Corda II, SR71 and Move, but definitley now use the SM IV (SR71 was sold and Move returned).

Yeah, I've been think about getting some er-4p/s because I listen to a lot of classical. Is er-4p the same as er-4s if it has the s adaptor?

The ER4 series is brilliant for classical.

Ay idea if these can be used for those of us with really, really small ear canals, maybe using foamies?

Right now I am using a DJ81 as my isolating phone for long plane trips, but they do not isolate too well.

My amp vote is for the Portaphile. Use mine with Ety4p and a 4g Imod, altho loved the Portaphile already with Etys and "standard" 5g ipod unmodded. And listen to big symphonies, operas, chamber music, Liszt piano, etc.

x2 for the portaphile. Great detail and air. Nice for classical and vocals too. Bass is not pronounced, but has good punch, the way I like it. I use mine with Ety ER6i, and I'm jonesin' for some q-jays...

New about $260 or so. But, and HUGE BUUT, needs about 500 hrs to burn in properly. Sounds great out of the box, but to get it to shine, needs that much
