Oh, wow, I seriously dropped the ball on this one. I'm seeing Punch Brothers on the 28th of February here in Chicago, and I completely forgot about their new album. I guess I'll have to run out to the record store today after work.

Seems like a great time to break out a good bottle of scotch too.

The scotch (Highland Park) ran out last night, but I have very recently spotted that Sainsbury are re-introducing their 'own label' single malts, so tomorrow I will be buying one of those and giving it a try. My local branch only has Highland, but I have also seen Speyside listed on their website, so whatever's on the shelf when I go in will go in the basket.

That Kraftwerk documentary is a major disappointment. Unoriginal rent-a-quote contributions from jaded music hacks and no insight. More importantly, no new contribution from the actual band members.
 
The government-driven BBC budget cuts are obviously having an effect, as this is little better than a Channel 4 "I remember the Eighties" clipshow.
