gaga is best enjoyed remixed.

to all the naysayers, edm (as those ill-informed tend to refer to it, trance/electro/house) IS music. there are some crazy producers/mixers out there as well as actual turntablists/scratchers. let me tell you, that shiet doesn't write itself; it takes years of work and dedication. let's see you buy a mixer and a turntable and churn out club hits. ;D

Justin Bieber, Rebecca Black, and most of the mainstream artists out there. Its getting hard to find any good music nowadays, seems like everything they play on the radio is about partys, one night stands and spending alot of money. Can't believe the mainstream media is trying to feed us teenagers screwING ******** like that when there is real problems going on around the world

I do NOT enjoy the whole "hate metal" genre.  Not even sure what it's called, but the few times I have heard it played - I just think, "man, these guys need some serious professional help."  I am sure there is music inside of them, but it's hard to see the music through all the hate.

+1 on Dylan...really?  I guess he was rapping before it was cool!  :)

Never understood rap in general...see first comment above...

years ago, I think it was Sting, who had a song named "Radio Goo-Goo, Radio Gaa-Gaa".  The song meant that was what was being played on the radio was for people with as little knowledge of music as infants.  Goo-goo and gaa-gaa being English onamatopia for how infants attempt to talk. To show you how stupid some adults are one man complained about the song and I had to explain to him why and what was being said.  So many people don't listen to the words of music. I have MiniLyrics plugin for Foobar and it is very interesting to learn that some songs are not saying just exactly what I thought they were saying on first listen.
Justin Beiber is for twelve and thirteen year old girls so he doesn't bother me at all. We can't expect, and shouldn't expect, children to listen to and appreciate John Lennon or Brian Wilson, for example.
Most of the people who I know who like Lady Gaga are into the dance scene. So while I don't listen to Lady, I don't begrudge others listening to Gaga as at least they are up and moving and enjoying life in their own way.
What really gripes me is someone like Sheryl Crowe, who purports to be a "serious musician". she stands on stage strumming a guitar and, with an at best ordinary voice, singing songs to which she has committed a minimal amount of song writing ability. And she has the nerve to ask the rest of us to give her our money. I don't Pandora or Groove-Shark Justin or Gaga so they don't bother me, but every once in a great while I turn on the tv.  And Leno or someone has Crowe on. BS.

Rant Mode: off
PS, did you hear that Beyonce and what's his name are getting divorced?
