Ultrasone HFI-600?

OK. This headphone was on the Jan Meier Auction for Headwize a few weeks ago, but here I found it in Philly:

Should I get it? Is it worth $150? How is it compared to other phones?

And the 600 is a discontinued model. The price doesn't look like one though.

I'd steer clear and get the 650s from Jan Meier.

Oh, it seems I did just that as I've got them on right now - and what a stunning sound it is

In my view they do have an amazing and unique sound but don't expect a closed HD600 as there not, the sound is very different though in there own way they are equal in my view to the HD600.

Personally, I wouldn't order a headphone unless the dealer has a return policy like HeadRoom, or you can audition them before you buy.
This is especially true of closed headphones since they sound quite a bit different from their open cousins IMHO.

Dear Doobooloo,

The HFI-600 is a nice closed phone but it's successor, the HFI-650 is better. If you're still interested in the 600 I suggest you send me a mail.
