Sony SEQ-50

I did a search on this site and there was no mention of a Sony Walkman graphic equalizer.

I was digging around in some of my old stereo stuff the other day and came across this. I had'nt seen it in years.

Put some new batteries in it and it's like brand new. It sounds better than I remembered, maybe I'm just getting old and my hearing is going south.

But it sure sounds really good to me on my old but new D-25S.

I don't think they put the quality in sound or build like they use to.

I believe I bought the SEQ-50 in 84 or 85 and used it for a few months and then lost interest in it, put in a box and put away and forgot all about it until the other day.

I found this web site and it's really renewed my interest in my old headphone gear.

Also upgrading and getting new stuff.

Love this web site!

Yep, I remember slaving away all through the summer of 85 at Ponti's cafe in Croydon just so I could get my hands on the SEQ 50. It made my AIWA unit sound just soooo much better to those young and niave ears. I wouldnt use it now obviously, but back in the day......... it was cool. Partnered with a pair of big Sennheisers I was probably laughed at whilst at school. But I knew that even back then my stuff sounded way better than the C**p they were listening to...

Like the Yamaha headphones, the SEQ 50 features high on my EBAY wish list.

I do seem to remember getting through a hell of a lot of AA batteries back then as well, due to the SEQ

i found it at a yard sale when i was young...my mom was a yard sale fanatic
it had a short in it but i taped it temporarily til i broke it (cries)
i been looking for another one for years...i'd get the sony branded one if i found it
they just dont make things like they used to anymore
