How to get Foobar and Album Art?

It is not easy to explain as there are too many variables. And I'm exactly sure what your issues is, but . . .

First - make sure you have the album art panel enabled. I'm assuming you are already using columns UI and the corresponding version of Foobar. The latest version should be v.0.9.4.3, but any v0.9 version should be OK. Some people are still using the old v0.8.3 (which works fine too, but make sure you components are compatible if you are using this).

Second - if you see the album art panel, but it is empty, right click on it and select preferences (at the bottom of the list). Make sure you have the sources (last tab in the pop-up box) pointing to the correct location. I think by default Foobar uses the image in the same folder as the currently playing audio file.

If you have time, you can of course wade through this thread over at Hydrogen Audio.

Hope this helps.

I just simply use the built in album art of foobar2000 v0.9.4.2

and in preference, add one of the source as this

$replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,)*.*

this will load the first picture in the folder that you are playing your music from

click on column ui in the preference, and in Layout, add the Album Art to your side panel.

then right click Preference on the Album Art panel. personally i use this setting: $replace(%path%,%filename_ext%,)%directory%.jpg
and name the image the folder's name, which is the album name and year.

Personally I think its smarter if this plugin display the jpg embedded in the mp3. The software Cd Art does it and display on your desktop.

Now, do anyone know how to make the side bar to the right instead of left?
