You can open the blades on Leatherman Wave, Surge and a few other of their multitools one handed. One reason why I love it so much. All you need is your thumb to open them.

So far, I think I'm going to go with the Vapor. I definitely want the assisted opening, so I can use it one-handed, and I don't need/want the waving because I probably won't need it or use it ever.
AO is unnecessary for one handed usage. Any thumbstud/plate/hole based knife can be easily opened one handed. Most locking systems can also be closed one handed, though I do have a bit more difficulty with compression locks when compared to frame/liner/axis style locks.

Gerber LST for a cheap alternative. Also very non-threatening.
