Yuin PK3 Appreciation Thread - Page 37

HARD TO BELIEVE

I have the Yuin PK2 and I never heard the KOSS Ksc75 until a week ago.

Now I want the Koss Ksc75 cos it has more bass, everything is smooth and clean crisp sound.

Surely PK3 can't have better sound quality then the KOSS KSC75?

Not so much "better" as just different. PK3 is warmer, while ksc75 has more bass and top end sizzle.

my PK2

My PK2 after hour or two do give me ear-listening fatique which I don't like.

Are PK3 warmer sounding then PK2?

I think considering that people's ears are different, meaning people prefer different types of sounds depending on their music source and music.

There are audiophiles out there who prefer the sound of PK3 rather than PK2, even though PK2 are meant to be more better in the mid and treble range.

I'm awaiting my KOSS KSC75, not considering buying the PK3 just yet!

pk3 are MUCH warmer than the pk2 and pk1

i had the pk1 but sold it and kept my pk3

WARMER SOUNDS I LIKE!

But the PK3 can't produce bass like the KOSS KSC75...

I'm talking exclusively on sound quality and not their size or comfortability or price range...

What amp did you use to power the pk1 with? It shows in your portable rig that you use the FiiO e5 which would do crap for a monster like the pk1s but if you used one of those amps from your home rig I would have expected results that are waaaay better than what you would get with the pk3.

yeah you're right i should have mentioned that, at the time, i only had the fiio e5 and it didnt do much for the pk1

i'll have to do a short a/b tonight but i have both and i never use the ksc75, i always reach for the pk3..

but now that i have the re0, the pk3 usage might be dropping

I got the KOSS KSC75 and they sound awesome!!

No more listening to my Yuin PK2, need to sell these!

Is it worth trying the PK3 , let alone getting them!??

I think it's worth it. I have both, and while I really enjoy the ksc75 and use them a lot, the PK3 is strictly speaking a superior phone, *imho*! I've never heard the PK2s, but PK3 is a really outstanding phone (bud) for the money and well worth having around, again imo. If nothing else, it's good just as a backup, but it's good to have some variety, too.

They're cheap as is...Sheesh!! Use the money you'll get from selling your PK2's and get a brand spankin new pair of PK3's. No need to get a used pair.

I tried the G2, not the G2A, I did not like it as much as the KOSS ksc75
