Lou

Many here think that the Outlaw PCA is a very solid budget cable. The cost is $49.95 for a 1.2 meter pair.

You can find them here.

HI JMT: OK I ordered the sonic horizon daybreak at 52.00 at .5mm a pair. JMT have you heard of these cables. ATNESS recomended them to me.
PS how are my silver mini to mini cables doing?

Last time I looked Outlaw did not have the short .5m pca. But they are expected to be back in stock soon.

I asked them about it the other day. They said less than 30 days.

If you're willing to try DIY, it's possible to get DH Labs Silver Sonic BL-1 wire unterminated at about $3.75/foot. A couple of pairs of RCA plugs, a little solder, and you've got an interconnect. The soldering is very easy. If you're willing to terminate the wire yourself, it's a way to get a decent interconnect at a reasonable price.

so who else makes 0.5m or 1.0ft cables?

I thought nearly everyone made them.
Cardas, Kimber, DiMarzio all do.... I tried to buy 1/2 meter monster interconnects once....(special order) you should've seen the looks I got

I tell you, those Outlaws are really stiff. Makes it really hard to setup my rig.

that sounds like a great idea and quite a bit cheaper as well.

what rca plugs would you suggest for something like that?

I really like the Dayton plugs at Parts Express and the tiffany-style plugs at MCM. You can certainly pay more-- there are some WBT knockoffs and the like-- but these plugs are great, especially for the money. Gold plated with teflon dielectric.

I forget the MCM part number offhand (their website is a nightmare!), but someone put together a website regarding their tiffany plugs. Get the silver and not the gloss black plugs if you want to go solderless in the assembly-- the inner teflon shield for coax style cable can be inserted directly into the insulation in the silver plugs, but not the black, even though they look the same!

diycable.com is a good spot for purchasing the belden cables that you often see recommended for DIY interconnects-- not too many places have it by the foot. boldercables.com is another one, I believe.

Best of luck!

yes, they are a bit stiff. It took some thought to get my .5 M outlaws in a decent position. Sometimes, it helps to have longer cables. . .
