i wouldnt say the bass is overpowering, i've been listening to a wide variety of music on my 325's w/ flats on the desktop rig listed in my sig, and to my ears at least, bass has been great, not as much as my beyers, if that helps

Thanks, it's another future projection of myself ... I'm going to be the dude in the village smoking a pipe and randomly dispensing useful bits of wisdom to passer-bys.

Pushing the rod back for me is of no use, as clearly the hole has become too large.

I glued it back with some epoxy, as its quite effective as a filler.

Typical Grado quality? Ya sadly.

With some background in adhesives, Grado did not choose the correct grade of crazy glue. There are over a dozen grade of crazy glues. From experience none of them have good structural strength from leverage. 5 mintue expoxy will provide better structural strength once cured.

Recabling them is for fools with too much money !

Reasons:

1. Doesn't make them sound any better, it is just in your head after spending so much money on them.

2. Voids Grado warranty if you ever require service.
