Not to take this thing off topic (as I take it off topic)

How's the skiing up in Tahoe now? I'm comming out to Cali in a week and my friends and I are thinking of heading up there... we found some super cheap hotel rooms to crash in. Man, I can't wait to be back by the bay!

Hate to be the late one, but Coleman Hawkins: Alive at the Village Gate; Lester Young: Lester Leaps In; Coltrane, Mobley, Sims, and Cohn with the Red Garland Trio: Tenor Madness; Thelonious S. Monk: Monk's Blues; Miles Davis: Filles de Kilimanjaro; Duke and Satch: Recording Together for the First Time; and my weekly winnings from eBay all came that day, all on those oh-so-sexy black discs. Yum!

sorry you can barely see me. I thought the Santa hat was a nice touch, but you can barely see that too. That's the new Pierce Ladder we just got at my new regular house. It's was only a few days old when I took the pic.Notice I already put a MARINES sticker on it.There's nothing nicer than new stuff.

Hopefully you'll be getting a break too.

dohminator: great gifts! Did you get anything from that big ashford feeding frenzy?

I was trying very hard not to make anymore audio purchases this year, but as the turn of events had it, my Denon DM3 died on me. The control board got fried from static shock I think.

Anyway, so I picked up the last new-in-box Philips SACD 1000 player at the chicagoland tweeter stores yesterday.
