what is the ultimate beer?

"ultimate" can mean whatever you want, by the way.

Guinness - once you go black, you never go back.

Best one on that list of mostly watery lagers is Becks.

I was expecting this poll to read: Lager, IPA, Bitter, Stout etc.

When I go out I tend to drink Guinness, but the following are good to have every now and then;

Old Speckled Hen,
Duval,
HobGoblin,
Adnams,
Tanglefoot,
Waggledance,
Old Peculier

But don't drink too many of them, otherwise........

I've just noticed there's no Tramp Juice up there, like Tennants Super.

Man, that is a working man's -- or in Japanese, salary-man's -- poll/list. I'm a hard-workin' guy, but I ain't votin' on that list.

Sorry partner, but ain't one there that's the best in my world. Hadda throw my 2 cents in. Suppose it aint' worth more than that, but there it is.

Urp....

Yuengling Lager of course!

But since it's not an option, I guess I'll vote Pabst. Kind of like good hi-fi equipment, it's not the best but it gets you 90% there on 10% of the money!

Thanks Romanee. You or Vamc.... or some other guys from, say, the thread 'What Are Drinking Now?' should make such a Poll.
Plus it should always have an option: 'None of the above'.

Do not see you on this 'poll'.

P.S.
Note the quotes around the word poll. It's a parody of a poll about such an
important liquid as beer.

Inns and Gunn is better than any of them on that list. It's aged in oak casks, and is extremely complex and delicious. That said, from the standard 'able-to-buy-in-a-bar-with-relative-ease' list, guinness doesn kick proverbial bottom.
