HD580 + Cardas or HD600?

Obviously, HD580 + Cardas will offer the best sound in this category.

Soundwise, HD580 < HD600 < HD580+Cardas < HD600+Cardas

Thanks for the interest.

Although Nevermorez has already answered your question in the best way that I could... December 21st I'm getting a pair of HD600s (starting with just the stock cable)... so before I switch the cables over from my HD580s... I could let you know my accurate opinion to add weight to what has already been said?!

So you guys really think it's worth it to invest $150 to $200 (Cardas or Equinox) on a $100 headphone (HD580)? I paid less than $100 for HD580 (after rebate), and I have been thinking about buying an upgrade cable, but I just cannot bring myself to make the purchase thinking that the cable costs about twice as much as the headphone.

Just remember that the HD 580 was originally a $350 headphone

You can try to make your own cable. That would cost you less than $30
