I did have to check that there really were two different sources because there was really almost no difference between the Wadia and the Transporter. It was very impressive. As Hirsch said, we have put many Dacs against the Wadia and it was one or two switches before we picked the Wadia. I don't think that we could have accurately picked the difference between the two. I am very impressed. Like I'm gonna get one impressed.

For me, the F-1 really shined from the low-mids down. I've heard several amps really make the K1000 shine in the mids and highs, but the F-1 did that and added a consistent buttery smooth low end with both finesse and impact to the K1000. Add in the SDS-XLR as a pre, which sweetened the whole thing, and it was the best K-1000 setup I have heard. By far. Oh year, the Meridian didn't hurt either

Hirsch, I am actually fairly certain we drove the F1 amp direct from the Transporter not the Wadia (not that it really matters as they sound so similar.) I remember this distincly because Thrice playing with the volume control on the Wadia did not effect my k1000 listening.

Sorry the pics, suck I had a battle with Hirsch's camera and took the same pics over and over trying to eliminate glare or blurriness

The k1000 was good, but it is not my cup of tea. although i did like it more than the modded ps1
