Media player quandary, so to speak.

I have recently begun to take a marked interest in the sound quality of my games and music.

I already know what I need to do to better my gaming audio, but when it comes to music, I'm a bit stumped.

I really enjoy bass, far more than treble, and as a result, I tend to use premade equalizer settings that are keyed more for bass. The problem is, I am not apt at setting up my equalizers properly, and usually end up making it sound worse.

I use multiple media players, WMP11 (Beta), Foobar2k (was recommended recently to me), and iTunes (only because its the only media player I can get the VolumeLogic plugin trial to work on.

As a matter of fact, it would be great too if you don't wish to upload your own presets or find ones that are decent, just take a screenshot of your own so I can create them myself.

I am looking for a few different things:

Foobar2k:
-Preset equalizer settings (good ones, of course)
-Any audio enhancement components (once again, preferably something I do not have to pay for to utilize. Trials would also be acceptable. I'm looking particularly for ones that enhance, as you may have guessed, the bass.)
-Any other great components I should know about.

WMP11:
-Any way to get VL to work on the beta
-Any plugin that will enhance bass (which is sadly very weak in WMP11 because I am not amazing with equalizer settings and have mucked a good one I had up completely)

Heck, if you can get me anything for any of them, I'd really appreciate it.

If you want me to be more specific on anything (I have a habit of being too vague or being overly specific, neither of which yield results) by all means, let me know.

One man's EQ is not another's. As for sharing good ones....does anyone else have the same ears, headphones/speakers, room size & layout as you?

If you need to EQ so massively to be satisfied, do you know what EQ does to phase?

I don't want to discourage because the questions you ask show you are on the verge of discovering audio nirvana but you need to go back to basics and learn some audio theory.

EQ can be nasty; show me a high end preamp with bass & treble controls. You are probably EQing the bass to much

If you love bass then look for solutions where that style of reproduction is a physical attribute of the speaker/headphone and it will kill an EQ'd system.

Of course, all in MHO and sorry about your wallet!
