What book are you reading right now?

So for almost 2 years I had given up reading and switched to watching TV series obsessively. I used to feel bad that, I didn't read as much anymore. I cancelled my library membership. I watched everything from 'Six Feet Under to Gilmore Girls.

Suddenly out of the blue I started reading again last week. It all started with a conversation about Fifty Shades of Grey my friends were having. I didn't read any reviews and really didn't know anything about the content of this book, just downloaded and started reading. I finished it and found it was just horrible but at least I finished a book after nearly two years. Then I was back to my earlier tempo. Since last Sunday, I have read the following. I like reading books on my five inch screen phone using Aldiko..

HORRIBLE

OKAY - COULD HAVE BEEN MUCH BETTER

For IAN MCEWAN's  standard, fairly poor. but better than above two

Standard Hornby but entertaining nevertheless

I am back and I am glad Wooo hoo...

Like Tyrion Lannister, I should read books to keep my mind sharp but I don't anymore. lol

Ever since I graudated college, I stopped reading books completely and turned to watching all the amazing shows out there I've been missing. I never used to watch much tv series either. I would just watch whatever was on during lunch or during my study breaks.

The last books I've read were The Hunger Games trilogy like 2 years ago. I read them before the first movie came out due to all the hype surrounding these books. I enjoyed them for light reading but I'm not obsessed over them. (Omg I almost forgot how to spell "obsessed". I really need to read books again.) xD

You have to admit, some of the lines EL James used can sound hilarious if you put them together.

"...looks delicious"
"I want to taste you Anna."
and etc combined together gives off the impression that EL James was rather hungry when she wrote the book.

Edit: Oh and my favourite line from that lot, "He was my own Christian Grey popsicle"

I am not sure, how many people do this. But I have my headphones on when I am reading books. Usually, a song or an album would get stuck with a book. I might not be able to explain this but it makes really awesome combo. I had this song on repeat, while reading this one. I can actually, remember the name of a book, when I listen to a song sometimes.

For eg: When Red Hot Chili Peppers released By The Way (long time ago, I had an audio cassette walkman). Whenever, I listen to Dosed, I remember Portnoy's Complaint

Almost finished Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson. Standard YA novel characters, but awesome storyline and effects.
I'll applaud you magiccabbage, you are truly magical!!! (sorry for the pun), I tried to read this novel, fallen asleep two or times then giving up altogether.... It's so....slow.... and stuffy....
