D-Link DSM-520 Any thoughts?

Supplied software is not worth to mention. But with TVersity as media server and after their recent firmware upgrade it's pretty usable. TVersity transcodes FLACs so this way I can play them on DSM, which otherwise does not support that format.
I don't think the onboard DAC is near high-end quality, at least to my ears. I still can't find out what chip they used for DA. So I just route optical out to the receiver.

Thanks, I'm thinking background music and videos, not serious listening. I'll go coax to one of my D/A's. I just wanted to hear that someone has achieved some degree of success.

Yep, the great convinience of having all my audio library played on my home theater setup, internet radio/video plus ability of viewing video and photo files on big screen TV. You can manipulate the library from the on TV menu, or from computer using program like Cidero.
The DAC is quite listenable but somehow, by a little margin, I prefer DAC on my Mitsu receiver.
If anyone know, by any chance, the DAC chip they use I'll greatly appreciate the info.
