Right now Im loving Booka Shade - Movements, definately check it out.

Prefuse 73 - Prefuse 73 Reads the Books is also very good, if only for the two tracks Pagina Cinco and Seis.

I second whoever said Gotan Project too, consistantly awesome stuff.

Others have said and I forgot to mention x2 for DJ Krush. His work is great. It's ridiculous what he can do with turntables.

Peace Orchestra will deliver bass that you never thought possible. He is my favorite of the two. A downtempo genius.

Thanks....you just made my day!

If a little ethnic spice is what you look for, try Black Marble and Sweet Fire by Al Gromer Khan and Kai Taschner. Subdued, Enigma-like beats in an ambience of Indian Sitar and electronic vapor.

Another album that may fall into the "chillout" category is Patashnik by Biosphere.

I have had Jazzanova's Remixes 2001-2005 LP on heavy rotation lately. I'd also like to mention Rainer Trueby's great compilations such as the "Gluecklich" series. Finally there is a series called "Bar Lounge Classics" by Sony that is quite good. I have the "Weekend Edition", that I can play for hours on end. I also like St. Germain "Tourist" as well as some of the stuff by the German duet "Tab Two" from the mid 90s. "De-Phazz" is also worth checking out. The "Brazilectro" compilations, especially the earlier ones, have to mentioned. Other compilations include Buddha-Bar, Hotel Costes and Cafe del Mar, are interesting as well. Really too many to mention or to keep track of. Finally, Faithless has a remixed version of "Reverence", called "Irreverence". Really cool.

Absolute masterpiece, DJ Shah's first release as Sunlounger. He makes use of spanish guitar, haunting melodies, it's all very brilliant.
