Recently I put in a dual opamp buffer section for my balanced TPA6120 amp. I had an AD8620 in there for a few days, but I thought the sound was slightly congested compared to without the buffer (but then no onboard volume control) and also compared to my AD8066 based balanced MINT.
So, I was going through my opamp box, and found a LT1364 that I had purchased four or so years ago. Hmm, I haven't tried these in a while... so I popped them in the amp.
I really like these! Very nice, neutral and detailed, like the AD8066s, except less clinical.
The DC offset is not as good (21mV/12mV) as the AD8620 (less than 1mV both channels) but I don't think ~20mV of offset is harmful anyway.
I need to get an AD8066 next time I place a parts order and try it in this amp too. Mmm... I really do like these relatively inexpensive high speed opamps...
