I got my new UM2's the other day and I am quite happy with them. However, I am starting to detect slight distortion with them. I am not using any EQ, and I am using them with my 5G iPod and GoVibe v3 with 8620 opamp. I like the sound signature, reminds me of my old e5's, but much more comfortable, but this distortion is disturbing. I did some A/B testing and find distortion more pronounced on lower bitrate songs. But I still pick up distortion when listening to ALAC. Any ideas? I am going to do more testing with other sources, but I wanted to post this to see if anyone else had a similar experience with the UM2's.
