I'm not really a fan of the movie 'Heavy Metal,' (I don't know why though...) but you guys should really check out Rock & Rule (these movies are related because both originated in Canada, are animated, and have a music soundtrack to match their titles). Even if you don't watch TV or movies--it's still worth watching. I got this movie for my last birthday at the end of July (been eyeing the release for about two YEARS; but never knew about the movie before that); and woo-eee, it's probably my FAVORITE MOVIE!! Oh, man. It's movies like this, that REALLY show the benefits from a good audio/video system (too bad for me...small/low quality TV, and played on a cheap DVD player). I'm telling you, it's all worth it--even if the rest of the movie bores you or something--for the ending (a budget/minimalistic masterpiece; stuff like the Earth, Wind & Fire song is a treat!).

My other favorite movie (so far at least), is Lemora: A Childs tale of the Supernatural (I got this--along with Rock & Rule and Starchaser: The Legend of Orin--on my birthday). No comment on Lemora (basically another must-see budget-masterpiece)... I don't really, really like Starchaser--since it's an animated version of Star Wars (practically). Hell, I didn't even really get into the original Star Wars, but it's not bad to check this out if you want to see something that's like Star Wars.

Anyways, if you don't have Rock & Rule (or only have an old VHS of it), BUY this movie NOW! I'm telling you, you're going to miss out on one of the best things from the 80s, if you don't get this (not everyone will like this though)...

Edit: Actually when it comes to entertainment--especially TV/movies or video games--I really probably have no favorite; although if I was sure enough, it would probably be at least weird close to/as Rock & Rule; I also really enjoyed the first Super Mario RPG and stuff like that. Hell--to be honest--I didn't even really enjoy Rock & Rule THAT much...I might like even like Lemora better because I'm probably more into "horror" movies in general.... I think I mainly like sci-fi/horror things, or mixes of the two......... I guess what I'm trying to say is, I don't really like much movies, but I still enjoyed Rock & Rule; so you should check it out too, if you have'nt already done so.
