I hardly hear the difference, but when it's better I have to have it at that option. Even though I might be fooling myself

I'm a bit paranoid that way.

And about the soundcard, it's not that bad... I just thought I wouldn't really need an amp with a Revo and 555 combo. But I was wrong. Doesn't matter, I was going to need an amp sooner or later anyway.

Wow. Now this thread has singlehandedly improved the sound quality of my listening by at least 50%. You really dont know what your missing until you hear what good sounds like. I am even more so looking forward to getting my amp now. Dear lord foobar = the deal

The biggest boost in sound comes from using asio or ks. Rest of the options are personal preference. I prefer 16bit over 24/32bit, much more natural and clearer sounding with more bass. 24bit seems to have higher noise floor, fuzzier sounding, more highs. 32bit just sounds plasticky and fake. Try and see which one you like best.

as far as i know Foobar doesn't actually improve anything, it just avoids the Kmixer with kernal streaming.

I use it because it gives me peace of mind nothing is interfereing with the signal

i believe foobar2000 with kernel streaming on enhanced my music experience. when i compared it to windows media player, it sounded so much better.
