ms1+flats sound like e5!

strange thing, just got flats for my ms1, these sound awesome for industrial and deep bassy dark music, they really remind me of how the shure e5c sounds. (unamped) weird, didnt think the change in sound would be so drastic.

I hated the Flat pads on MS-X cans (ive owned MS-2, MS-Pro), just completely muddle the mids, flabby bass and veiled highs.
I much preferred Bowls, but the Senn pads were okay, less soundstage.
