Still window shopping around while waiting for the next gen ipods.
I've stumbled across the Beosound 2 again, and cant help but become curious of how it sounds. Looks gorgeous, but nothing spectacular next to the latest black ipod nano and even the sony psp. What really pulls me is if it sounds good or not. Especially with the gear I have listed in my sig. Many of the reviews say it sounds fantastic, but I cant really trust those verdicts without hearing something from Head-fi.
I actually have an offer from a friend's dad who is offering the Beosound 2 plus 1gb for $250, and last night I was twitching all night in my sleep wondering if its a good buy or not. Apparently he doesnt trust sales on the internet.
He is in Paris, so there is no way I am flying there to demo it.
If it seems to sound decent enough, then maybe I'll just get it for the sake of SQ. I really do want to get the best sounding DAP out there.
Let me know how it compares to the latest gadgets.
