Got them today , found them for less then 20$ and couldn't resist.
First impression are good . will compare them with mx500 , ksc 35/75 and sharp md33 ; I'm letting them burna while , in few hours will give out the more detailed impressions

Where did you get them from? I've thought about picking up a pair, but most sites I've seen them at have shipping costs in the $8-11 range. If I ever found a pair in a B&M store I'd get one in a heartbeat.

sorry for taking so long.. I just wanted to pass a time also with senn mx550

I'll give some other impression then I'll probably end it up in a mini review about earbuds I'm going to do and call King Of The Earbuds ( k12p mx300 mx500 mx550 sharp md33 ksc35 and ksc75 are on the list ) in which I'll try to picture my preferences and why

so... what to say ..
the most important things :

* k12p have a quite open and airy sound , very detailed , which deliver some stage too

they are bright , but not fatiguing to my ears. Bass = they have some snap , not really a bass
They remind me to a slighlty bassier version of sony e888
their driver attention is on mid-highmid region

* mx550 ( which are superior to mx500 ) have an overall noticeably more natural , let's call it *better* timbre for voices and acoustic instruments and are more lush sounding

, but -or 'and' depending on your liking- have a focused stage and present a more muddy/bassy timbre on all instruments; their driver attention is on higher bass - low mids region .
k12p have nice snap and a better rapresentation of drums, a much more upfront sound , and are more exciting for me and generally speaking for the music I listen . Bass on k12p is much more tight and well defined and much less boomy.

To summarize mx550 and k12p I'd say both are quality erabuds , both well worth they're price; they carry their house sound signature being the first quite and surprisingly! accurate and focused sounding to be an earbud and a step over mx500 ( which was overly rolled off in the high frq. section ) and the second more entertaining, airy and just a bit more rich sounding troughout the frq.s spread then the first pair .
mx550 : Sennheiser = k12p : Akg
this simplify but can apply to these earbuds

music used
-----------
Geroge Michael - Best Of
Nine Inch Nails - Whit Teeth
Soundgarden - Superunknown
Pearl Jam - various
Rachmaninov - preludes by Murray Periah
Tool - Opiate
Louis Armostrong & Ella Fitzgerald - Porgy and Bess

edit for basshead : both lack the lowlow bass and noway to crack up it on equalizers and obtain it
