I wonder if any E-mu card is better than Lynx L22? Solely for listening to music. What is the best soundcard for listening to CD (wav 16bit 44.1kHz) in a computer?

Well, I use the Lynx 2B, but unfortunately I haven't tried something like 1212. I'd be more than happy to do the comparison if someone lets me borrow one

cool. I'm still waiting to receive my Lynx card (I've ordered it already) and hope I will really notice the difference from my Audigy2. I wonder how big step this really will be... What expensive players have you compared Lynx with?

I have both 1212M and L22. The analog out of 1212M is nowhere near the analog out of L22.
Their digital outs are pretty close.

Well, I prefer my audio PC to Resolution Audio Opus21, for example.
Hope you are getting together some DB25 connector/wires..
