One of the first things that jumped out at me upon opening the box of my new Senn 600s was "Wow this is a chinsey cable."

Question: What is different about Clou red versus the Clou blue cable?

Thanks in advance.

Triple shielded? Hrm. Sounds like a STIFF cable...

IMHO, the biggest difference is the Clou Red Jaspis cable is very red... and the Clou Blue Jaspis cable is very blue...

Once there, do a CTRL+F search on the first page of the thread for "ross" as he has owned both and commented on it.

Thanks. From this thread, I take it that you found the Clou red to be too stiff? (You typed 'stuff', but I assume you meant 'stiff' ?)

No, I meant to type "too stuff." Okay, I'm kidding. Yes, I meant to type "too stiff." Ask Ross (who has owned both) or Todd (at HeadRoom) if there's much of a difference in how stiff the Blue is compared to the Red. Most of the Clou owners feel that the sonic benefits are worth it for them (Red or Blue). I appear to be in the minority.

I bought Jude's Clou Red when he decided the marginal cost did not equal or exceed the marginal improvement.

The Clou Red is stiff. Waaaayyyyyyy stiff. Not as stiff as TV cable/coax, but headed that direction.

The stiffness doesn't bother me at all. As a matter of fact, the only way you'll get me to give up my Clou Red is when you pry it out of my stiff, lifeless fingers.

Clou Red: purchased.

Dspite their thickness and stiffness i find my Clou Reds far preferable to the stock cord which was too wiggly and would constantly get tangled or snagged on just about anything and everything...The mid-range seems to have slightly more impact and the highs a little more articulate with the Clou...

Mine Clou Red arrived today (man that was fast). And my first impression was "wow, this is long." Unofficially, I'd say 9 feet long from tip to tip.

Wow! Nine feet?!? And I get annoyed at the stock cable -- I actually bought a Radio Shack cord-minder thingy to keep my office chair from constantly running over my HD600 cables.
