Is there any change in performance over the first 100-200 hours for solid state amplifiers? I always thought that the reason for burning in devices was to identify weak components before they were assembled into a unit. I can see headphones or tube amps changing with time but wondered about solid state products.

It really depends if we want to notice it or not.
