I'm a newbie in the heaphones world, I try to build the audio part of my htpc.

Sorry but what is it ? As far as I read, Pimeta is a development around PPA headphone amplifier project.
The official PPA amplifier page gives links to builders of these amps. Is the amp you mentionned made in this way, and by which builder ?

just keep an eye out in the for sale forums
sometimes you might see something a little better for a good price.

This a good setup you've listed there, but I'd also advise you to keep your eyes peeled on the For Sale forum, especially for the 0404 and HD580's. That should free up a greater portion of your budget to go to the amp.
